I had UTI for 2 days around 23″ weeks ago and this time I am now getting slight cramps. Keep reading. I was getting spotting and brownish + redish + pink discharge. Thanks! I gave birth a little more than two months ‘agoJune’ 30th. Since thence I have gotten my period three times and in between periods I have had spotting with maybe three or four days where I am clean.

Is it the mini pill doing this to me?

Is there another pill I can switch to?

Hope to get a reply and some help! Certainly, since August 7th, I was put on the mini pill, progesterone only. So this on and off bleeding and spotting is so frustrating!. Plenty of info can be found easily by going online. At my six week check up I was ld everything looks good -am I bleeding because of the pill?I was concered maybe it’s a blood clot or placenta retention but the nurse ld me if it were any of those I should have fever or chills or some major sympton which thank gd I dont have. For instance, I am nearly 10 weeks postpartum and haven’t stopped bleeding or spotting. Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been experiencing sevvere cramps, everyday now my cramps are worse thence the day before. Anyways, any advice? My cycle had been on for 3 months now without signs of letting up.

I was on birth control for 2 and a half years without issue -then one day I passed a huge clot and things fot to the point that after having my cycle whn I ok my pill by the 4th day of a new pack my cycle was back on and heavy.

Now it’s just been on for 3 months straight.

I am scared there’s something very wrong. I ok a few of my pills at one time as my Dr had instructed when she first put me on BC after I had an extremely heavy cycle for 6 months stright. I consulted my doctor and he put me on another higher dose birth control no its still hasn’t stopped I have an appointment in Jan.

As a rule of a thumb, speak with your doctor to have this sorted out being that he can factor in quite a bit of your history to define if you need some lab tests or if very simple change of pills or regimen can sort out your problem. Second, as long as I don’t know which hormones are in your pill or the doses I can only give you a general idea of what you are experiencing. I am taking sprintec for about 4 months now. I just started the placebo pills in the new pack a few days ago and the bleeding and cramping increased. Now look. I skipped the placebo pills this month so that I wouldnt have my period during my birthday but now I’ve been bleeding and cramping for 3 weeks.

Sorry, my question is,.

Is the constant bleeding causing my weakness and exhaustion?

That said, this has effected my life and job and kids as well. I will just like I was to any local doctor and now driving 2 hours away to see what’s supposed to be quite a few best in the country. My period I will admit ate a lot less than before! Are these pills flawd or what???? We are looking at the most expensive pills I have ever taken!!! I had a transvaginal and an ultrasound and blood work and I am healthy!!! I am having identical problems on Loestrin I was put on these pills as long as I was having heavy bleeding and mood swings!!! I am 50 years old and going through changes!! I ok my birth control wrong.

Now I am spot bleeding for 12 days. Im hoping it’s just a hormone in balance that will figure itself out. Our bodies do change over time and light spotting and cramping are not terribly unusual. I will not be terribly concerned. Discuss with your primary care provider, I’d say if not. KP, have you recently changed brands? If you experience heavier bleeding or severe cramping midcycle you must see your doctor. I had an ovarian cyst rupture last month and Ive been bleeding for now 37 days. Certainly, my gyro put me on low dose BC and I seemed to have just gotten my period as long as it got worse. Not a lot but enough where I need a light pad on.

I know this discussion is from a couple of years ago.

I had all of my normal symptoms.

I have a concern. On p of this, I’m afraid that my bleeding will only get worse. I need to stop my birth control and see if that should help. Let me tell you something. I should normally start spotting and I still have dark red blood coming out. I have had a smear and all came back good. I had the Injection 11 March 2014 and started full on periods 3 weeks ago and I am still bleeding doctors cost a lot and give me no answers and I am starting to get annoyed and just seek for to know why and what actually is happening? That said, I would make sure a thorough exam is done, And so it’s possible the bleeding is simply due to hormonal fluctuations that the pills have not been able to correct.
